Community Association Manager Education:
Continuing Education Requirements
61-20.508(6) Renewal Requirements for Continuing Education.

All community association manager licensees must satisfactorily complete a minimum of 20 classroom or correspondence hours of instruction during each license renewal period. The 20 Hours of continuing education shall be comprised of:

4 hours of legal update seminars. Both the 2007 update and the 2008 update.
4 hours of instruction on insurance and financial management topics relating to community association management.
4 hours of instruction on the operation of the community association's physical property.
4 hours of instruction on human resources topics relating to community association management.
4 hours of additional instruction in courses approved by the council.

Those licensed before October 1, 2006 must complete 20-hours of continuing education, which includes the 2007 Required Update and the 2008 Required Update.

Those licensed between October 1, 2006 and September 30, 2008 do not need any continuing education for the licensee's first license renewal, Rule 61-20.508(6) F.A.C.

The "2007 Required Update" MUST be completed by September 30, 2007. The "2008 Required Update" MUST be completed between October 1, 2007 and September 30, 2008. All other hours may be taken at any time during the two-year period ending September 30, 2008.
