Florida Electrical Contractors Continuing Education Requirements
The State of Florida requires contractors certified or registered by the ECLB to complete 14 hours of continuing education courses for license renewal every two years. However, if you received your license within the last year, you may not need to take 14 credit hours this renewal period.

2010 Course Schedule). All courses are board-approved and satisfy Florida Electrical Contractors Continuing Education requirements for ALL contractors:
- Specialty Electrical Contractors

Alarm system contractors and electrical contractors engaged in alarm system contraction must complete at least 2 hours on false alarm prevention. Our courses do not include the 2 hours on false alarm prevention.
