This course is designed to provide the participant with the information needed to insure that a contractor is in compliance with various laws and principles related to licensing as a contractor, workers’ compensation insurance requirements, workplace safety, wind mitigation and business practices.

Day 2: Construction Business Management
Course “B” • Seven Hours of Continuing Education Credit (CILB 0010131, ECLB 0008025)
This course is designed to provide the participant with instruction in the principles of managing and running a successful construction business. The course focuses on the concept and principles of management related to running a construction contracting business. The participants will receive instruction in the principles of management, the principles of marketing, the basics of project management, bidding and estimating, contracts and documentation, cost management, measuring quality and performance, and discussion of business trends in the construction industry.

This course provides the elective hours of continuing education for CILB Contractors. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. on the first day. Course hours 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch from 12 to 1 on your own.
