This course will illustrate methods to provide for the future financial needs of community associations and to review the legal requirements for reserves. We will explain the methods for calculating reserves and review the process of obtaining reserve studies. The course will prepare participants to explain the reserve requirements and to justify the practical needs for reserves instead of relying on special assessments. The course will also review the options for self insurance.
